This is my good friend Scott, and his awesome family. I met him through Craigslist while looking for artists. I’m so glad I did! He is a very special person, and is a great worship leader and guitarist. And like most good men, he has an even greater woman keeping him in line : )
Her name is Jeanette, and she has an amazing story. Read about it here

And here’s what He said:
“May I never boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world.” Galatians 6:14 (NIV)
Lord, don’t ever let me (or Waterfront) start to believe our own press clippings. This is all about You, and we just want to make you famous! And if we can love people at the same time, we all win! Thank you Lord, for blessing us so much, and thank you for giving us the love for Your people that only You can provide.

Another article on the web here ……I love the comments best!
It’s amazing how something as simple as giving all the money away can be such a complex thing! As long as we are sincere in our desire to love God and people well through this, I believe we can change the world for the better! How about you?

Yes!!!! We held our first service today, and it was awesome!!!It seems amazing that less than 4 months ago I was just starting my new position as Servant Of The Arts for this new start up church, all the way in Schaumburg. And yet, we did it! We had a great service, a great turnout, and saw many new faces. With some help from our friends at CCC and Willow Creek we were able to make it happen.
Whew!!!!!

OK, I took this photo because I needed proof that I’m not crazy…. : )
Remember Gloria? I haven’t forgotten her. I met her a few weeks ago here in Schaumburg. She is homeless, and I approached her, and talked with her. I have not seen her since, but I have been looking!
Well, this morning, I met Margie. She was outside the coffee shop, and I asked her is she needed anything. She is homeless, and looked like she was cold and a little lost. She refused my offer for food, but I persisted, and she asked if I would give her a ride. I got her some hot tea first, and drove her to Dominicks. We had a nice talk. I wish I could have done more.
Where are all these people coming from? Where do they go for shelter? Who loves them?
And…..why do I keep meeting them?

This is me. I took it this morning as I was hanging door hangers. Well, actually, that’s not true. I had to stop when I took this; I was being attacked!
I am serious; my whole body, head, and face was covered with what my wife Vanessa called “boils,” although as Job-like as that may sound, wasn’t entirely accurate. They were very large hives. I don’t know how well the picture shows it, but I am sure I was scaring the people I ran into while hanging the door hangers. I wound up taking some Benadryl and eventually they subsided. But, this is just the latest in the ongoing saga in my attempt to hang these…….Here are some of the high(low)lights:
